When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a unique identifier. If you sign in with Google, your email address may be provided by the authentication service. Apple Sign-In allows you to hide your email. We do not use your email for marketing.
We collect gameplay data such as progress, inventory, and currency balances to provide the game service, and your app language preference so we can send you messages in your language.
Chat messages you send are stored on our servers to enable the chat feature.
When you enable notifications, we store a device notification token so we can deliver push notifications.
When you make a purchase, we receive and store a transaction identifier and receipt from Apple or Google so we can verify the purchase and deliver your items. We do not collect or store your payment card details — payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google.
Your data is used to operate the game: saving progress, enabling multiplayer features (PvP, chat, leaderboards), delivering and verifying purchases, sending notifications, and improving the game experience.
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share data only with the service providers described below (authentication, hosting, analytics, and advertising), who process it on our behalf or as independent controllers for advertising.
Data is stored securely using Google Cloud Firestore in the EU (europe-west1). We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information.
We use Firebase Crashlytics and server-side event logging to collect gameplay analytics (e.g., boss completions, feature usage, purchases, and crash reports) to improve game balance, stability, and features. These events are linked to your account identifier so we can understand how features are used; they are not sold and are not used to identify you personally outside the game.
The game includes optional rewarded video ads provided by Google AdMob. If you choose to watch an ad, AdMob and its partners may collect and use a device advertising identifier and related data to serve and measure ads, in accordance with Google's policies. On iOS, personalized advertising that uses the device advertising identifier requires your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt; if you decline, you will still see non-personalized ads. You can reset or limit your advertising identifier in your device settings. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google processes this data.
Chat messages are visible to other players. You can report inappropriate messages using the in-app report feature. We may review reported content and take action including account suspension.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings within the app. This permanently removes all your data from our servers.
Glory in Defeat is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
